Privacy Policy

What we store

• Your family account: the email address and password you sign in with, and your family name.
• Profiles and alarms: the names you give profiles (for example, a child's first name), their colors, and each alarm's time, days, label, sound and snooze setting.
• Devices: for each iPhone or iPad signed in to your family, its name, model, app version, which profile it rings for, a push-notification token, and sync status (whether its alarms are armed and when it last synced).
• Your purchase: if you buy Bunkbell Family, the App Store transaction ID, so every device in your family is unlocked. We never see your payment details. Apple handles payment.

Why we store it

Only to run Bunkbell: so an alarm you set on one device rings on another, so you can see that it's armed, and so your purchase covers your whole family.

Where it's kept

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Cloud Functions) in the United States. Push notifications are delivered through Apple Push Notification service. Both act only as our service providers.

What we don't do

• No advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs.
• No selling, renting or sharing of your data.
• No access to your contacts, location, photos, camera or microphone.

Children

Bunkbell is meant to be set up by a parent or guardian. A child's device signs in to the parent's family account, and only the parent decides what is stored about a child: a first name and alarm times. We don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children. A parent can delete a child's profile at any time from that profile's Edit screen, or delete the whole account.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your family account exists. Delete it any time in Settings → Delete Family Account. This immediately and permanently deletes your profiles, alarms, devices and sign-in. Removing a device from your family deletes that device's record.
